Refund Policy/Dispute Resolution procedure

As a user-driven community, Renterval relies on customers and merchants to operate in a forthright, fair and equitable manner.

Tools to make your transaction as smooth as possible

Renterval aids in helping both parties in the transaction by providing tools and services including:

  • A merchant rating system: Previous customers have the opportunity to write a review of the merchant’s performance and truth in advertising. This tool helps customers pick the right provider.
  • And

  • Payment settlement: When merchants sell a listing, they can be sure they will be paid. Renterval will confirm that a customer has presented valid payment credentials before connecting the customer with a merchant.

How to request a refund

There will be times when a legitimate dispute arises between the parties on Renterval. If a customer would like to file a dispute or request a refund, the procedure is:

  • 1. Contact Renterval as soon as possible (but no more than three days after scheduled transaction date) to notify us of your claim. File your claim by sending us an email through the Support page
  • 2. Explain your reason for filing the dispute in as much detail as possible
  • 3. Renterval will notify the merchant of the disputed transaction and will request a response to the claim. The merchant will have three business days to refute the claim and/or challenge the refund request. No response from the merchant by the end of the third day indicates the merchant accepts the dispute and a refund will be provided to the customer’s payment account or credit card.

If the merchant disputes the claim presented by the customer, Renterval will rule on the dispute, taking into consideration the following:

  • The accuracy of the merchant’s listing (services offered, photos of equipment (if applicable), etc.)
  • The merchant’s user rating
The presence of a customer’s signature on the Renterval invoice
  • The tenure of the merchant on Renterval
  • Notes added to the listing confirmation
  • Any other supporting information submitted by either party

Renterval will make a ruling within three business days and will notify both parites of the outcome.

Still have questions? Send us an email from the “About” page – we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. Thanks for taking the time to read our policy.
